Our Story
Our founders, Yvonne & Vindel Chang, had a vision to share their love for Jamaican flavors with the world. In 2020, they started Daddy C's Jerk Sauce in Calgary, and since then, they been on a mission to bring the taste of Jamaica to your kitchen.

Vindel: Co-Owner and Head Chef
Vindel brings a wealth of culinary expertise and diverse experiences to his role as Co-Owner and Head Chef at Daddy C’s Jerk Sauce. With a remarkable career spanning over 15 years on prestigious cruise ships, Vindel was notably the first kitchen staff member to be awarded Employee of the Month on the NCL SS Norway for his exceptional skills as a Soup Cook. His land-based culinary journey includes significant roles at Brewsters and the Carriage House Inn in Calgary, where he further honed his craft. Currently, Vindel balances his full-time responsibilities at CP Rail's Ogden office with a part-time position with the Calgary Flames, demonstrating his dedication and passion for the culinary arts. His commitment to excellence and his diverse background make him a vital force behind Daddy C’s Jerk Sauce.
Yvonne: Managing Director and Co-Owner/Administrator
Yvonne serves as the Managing Director and Co-Owner/Administrator of Daddy C’s Jerk Sauce, where she combines her passion for business with her extensive expertise in financial management. As a Certified Bookkeeper and Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP), Yvonne ensures that all financial aspects of the company run smoothly and efficiently. Her keen attention to detail and commitment to excellence in bookkeeping and payroll compliance play a crucial role in the success of Daddy C’s Jerk Sauce. Yvonne’s leadership and administrative skills are instrumental in driving the company forward, making her an invaluable asset to the team.
